Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions international clients ask before working with me. If something isn't covered here, drop me a message and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
Working Internationally
Can I work with you if I'm based in the US, UK, or Europe?
Absolutely. The majority of new enquiries I receive are from international clients, and I've built my entire workflow around remote collaboration. I work asynchronously across time zones, which typically means you wake up to progress rather than waiting on a call. All communication happens via email, WhatsApp, or video call — whichever suits you.
Why work with a South African designer instead of someone local?
Simple: you get world-class creative work at a significantly lower price point — without sacrificing quality. South Africa's design and creative industry is internationally competitive, and the exchange rate means your budget goes substantially further. Many of my international clients tell me they get more from me than from local agencies charging three to five times the price. You're not compromising — you're arbitraging.
Do we need to be in the same time zone?
Not at all. I work asynchronously by default, which means you share your feedback or brief at the end of your day and I work on it overnight. Most clients find this actually speeds things up. For calls, I'm happy to flex to your timezone — early morning or evening South African time typically covers the US, UK, and EU working hours.
Pricing & Payments
What currency do you charge in?
All international projects are priced and invoiced in US Dollars (USD). Prices on this site reflect typical starting points — your final quote depends on the specific scope, complexity, and timeline of your project.
How does payment work for international clients?
I accept payment via international bank transfer, PayPal, and Wise (formerly TransferWise). A deposit is required before work begins, with the balance due on delivery or at agreed milestones for larger projects. Full payment terms are clearly outlined in every proposal before anything is signed.
Process & Timelines
What does the process look like from start to finish?
It starts with your brief — submitted via the contact form or shared on a call. I'll send a proposal with scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing within one business day. Once you approve and the deposit clears, work begins. You'll receive a first draft or concept for review, then we refine until it's exactly right. Final files are delivered in all formats you need, and I remain available for any follow-up questions post-delivery.
How long does a typical project take?
Turnaround depends on the project type and your responsiveness at feedback stages. Generally: a one-page website takes 5–7 business days, a full brand identity takes 7–14 days, and a multi-page custom website takes 2–4 weeks. Rush timelines are available for an additional fee — just mention it in your brief.
How many revisions are included?
Every project includes revision rounds as specified in the proposal — typically 2–3 rounds depending on the package. My goal is always to nail the brief on the first concept, which happens more often than not. Additional revision rounds beyond what's included are billed at an hourly rate, agreed upfront.
What if I already have a brand — can you work with it?
Yes, and I do this often. Whether you need a website built to match an existing brand, social media content created within your guidelines, or a refresh of assets you already have, I can work within your existing system. Just share your brand files and guidelines with your brief.
Legal & Contracts
Do you sign NDAs or contracts?
Yes, without hesitation. A signed project agreement is standard on every engagement, and I'm happy to work within a client-provided NDA. Professionalism and discretion are non-negotiable for me.
What if I'm not satisfied with the result?
My 4.9 Google rating reflects a track record of clients who are genuinely happy with the work. That said, if something isn't right, I'll fix it — that's what the revision process is for. I don't release final files until you've approved the work, so you're always in control. If there's a legitimate issue outside the revision scope, we'll discuss it like professionals and find a solution.
Ongoing Work
Do you offer ongoing retainers or monthly services?
Yes. Social media management is available as a monthly retainer starting from $200/mo, and I work with several clients on an ongoing basis for content, updates, and digital support. Website maintenance packages are also available. Contact me and we'll structure something that fits your needs and budget.
